About me

caro grapes jacquessonHi, my name isĀ Caroline Henry. I am a wine writer and have lived in Champagne since December 2011. Since settling here I written about Champagne for several international wine publications, such as wine-searcher.com, decanter.com, palatepress.com, winerist.co.uk, as well as on my own blog missinwine.com>

I regularly translate champagne related content (press documents, websites and videos) and teach English and wine related courses (generally with a focus on Champagne and sparkling wine) at NEOMA Business School In Reims.
I am also a certified sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers in London.

Since moving to Champagne my real passion has been terroir driven Champagnes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly way. These wines are unique and express the essence of a place as experienced by the winemaker. They are exciting but most importantly they are delicious. They are also pretty rare, and not always easy to find. That is why I have decided to write a book about terroir Champagne. I chose to self publish the book because I want to only include the producers who really care about the environment and are willing to take risks to work as naturally as possible.
