Hi, my name is Caroline Henry. I am a wine writer and have lived in Champagne since December 2011. Since settling here I written about Champagne for several international wine publications, such as wine-searcher.com, decanter.com, palatepress.com, winerist.co.uk, as well as on my own blog missinwine.com.
Furthermore I translate press documents, websites and videos and on rare occasions I create content for champagne producers.
I am also a certified sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers in London and teach wine related courses (generally with a focus on Champagne and sparkling wine) at NEOMA and URCA (the management school and university of Reims) as well as at Worldsomm in Bordeaux.
Since moving here my real passion has been terroir driven Champagnes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly way. These wines are unique and express the essence of a place as experienced by the winemaker. They are exciting but most importantly they are delicious. They are also pretty rare, and not always easy to find. That is why I have decided to write a book about terroir Champagne. I chose to self publish the book because I want to only include the producers who really care about the environment and are willing to take risks to work as naturally as possible. Terroir Champagne: the luxury of sustainable, organic and biodyamic cuvees will be released in September 2015.
